Okay, this is a bit of a blurry picture, I grabbed it with the camera phone, but it amuses me.

Alanna frequently gets laid down on my teddybear blanket in the living room, as she's been wanting to spend more and more time being the wiggleworm, rolling around and creeping and doing the baby push-ups and rocking back and forth that they do as a prototype before crawling.

Today she was on it when I was over in the kitchen, close enough to hear her but not looking right at her, making lunch for her big brother and big sister. I came back to find that she'd managed to roll over a couple of times taking the blanket WITH her this time - she'd totally cocooned herself, and was just wiggling around inside it, seeming fairly contented with the whole thing.

It was very cute

Today's milestone, with pictures!

Alanna rolled over from her back to her stomach, all by herself!

I knew we were on the edge of it, as a bit earlier she'd almost done so, and it seemed like only being up against the bar of her playmat had stopped her. So I'd moved her into the middle of it.

A bit later I looked over, and ta da! There she was on her stomach.

She's 15 weeks and 2 days old.

Hm, interesting. When I go look it up - because I can never remember this sort of thing - I find that typically they do front-to-back first. Man, we REALLY need to get this kid more tummy time. Bad Mama. She'd be running a bit slow for front-to-back (typical 2-3 months), she's early for back-to-front (typical 5-6 months), IMO especially as heavy as she is.

So I figure on average she's just fine, I have no reason to worry, but we should get her more tummy time.
