Further household updates
Feb. 6th, 2004 10:30 amSo today I had the landscape people (a little family company, apparently) come out and give me a price for 'cleaning up' - since the house was empty all last summer, the bushes and such have gotten pretty bad. And I want the old gardening beds and the compost pile removed from the back yard - nice idea, but with 3 kids, 2 under 2, I am not going to be doing any gardening right now. Maybe someday. And I'd rather remove the splinter hazard for the kids. At the guy's advice, the ivy up front is going to go - too damaging to the house. The southern jasmine along the front wall isn't really designed to grow along a wall - but Karl likes it, so the guy's going to try trimming it rather than yanking it out. The cold may damage it, we'll see. They'll come out next week to do all this and mow, and it should be nice.
