Fancy dress baby pic

This dress was made by bkseiver for Maggie as a baby. It's adorable - embroidery, lace inserts, it's just gorgeous. It has a matching slip underneath, buttons at the shoulders, with ruffles to plump out the skirt hem.

Here's a picture of Maggie wearing it as a baby. I'm not sure where that cap and booties are right now.

Maggie starts kindergarten

Maggie started her first day of kindergarten today. I *hope* it goes okay. I still feel very uneasy about the whole thing. But hopefully my little social butterfly will enjoy it. Pics behind the cut.

School backpack

Whoops. Maggie's pink backpack, which she's had for quite some time and adores, is NOT big enough for a standard folder. So it's not going to cut it for school.

So I'm off to shop for another. Online, since I'm tired enough that I do not want to go into stores. Through Upromise, since I might as well get that tiny percentage for the kids' future college accounts while I'm at it.

Which reminds me, I need to add Alanna in to the Upromise accounts. Not that it makes much difference, but every cent helps, right? Someday we'll be out of debt and I can get a upromise credit card and that will help a lot.

EDIT: Found her a nice one at Lands' End. Should be good and sturdy. Pink rose color, and I'm having them embroider a butterfly on it. Because I love my little girl, and she will *adore* it.
